design

Under the careful eye of Logan Killen Interiors, the owners of Luna immersed themselves in every design decision, from material sourcing to spatial flow. Together, they crafted a visual language that honors the home’s Italianate roots with soaring double galleries, original plasterwork, and heart-pine floors, while weaving in modern touches like custom lighting and layered textures. The result is a soulful, storied residence where heritage and contemporary comfort meet in quiet harmony.

  • Located at 1746 Prytania Street, Luna is the keystone of The Muses Collection. A beautifully preserved example of 19th-century Italianate architecture in New Orleans’ Lower Garden District, the two-story masonry home features a classic side-hall layout, deep double galleries, and original details throughout. Built circa 1870, it has been thoughtfully restored as a refined, design-forward residence that honors its historic character.

  • Luna’s dining space is nestled within the kitchen, offering a flexible setup that suits both casual and curated moments. Perfect for a relaxed breakfast or working over coffee, the space can also expand—with additional onsite tables and chairs—into a chef’s table setting for up to 14 guests.

  • Luna’s front parlor blends comfort and character with a decorative fireplace, a chess table, and artwork by local artist Mary Ball. A flatscreen TV adds modern convenience, while hidden pocket doors provide a graceful flow to the kitchen and dining area—allowing the space to feel both connected and distinct.

  • A tranquil interior suite with a large balcony facing prytania, a custom king bed, a historic decorative fireplace, ensuite bathroom with shower, 100% cotton linens, sound machine, bluetooth radio, black out curtains, and botanical toiletries.

  • A sunny courtyard-facing suite accessed through one of the homes two exterior galleries. Rooms 3-8 feature king beds, ensuite bathrooms with showers, 100% cotton linens, sound machine, Nespresso coffee & espresso machine, 42” Flatscreen TV, bluetooth radio, black out curtains, and botanical toiletries.
